Compatibility assessment

If investors can be attracted to suitable locations or are interested in an area for the settlement of a large-scale retail trade project it must (depending on the location) be examined whether the project is compatible with the existing retail trade landscape.

In other words, it must be determined how the realisation of a project will affect spatial planning and urban development within the meaning of Section 11, paragraph 3 of the Federal Land Utilisation Ordinance (BauNVO) (in conjunction with the respective national regulations and decrees).
